Calor installs strategic valves to facilitate speedy isolation in the event that a pipeline is damaged and to permit ongoing maintenance to be undertaken whilst minimising disruption to gas supplies.

Service Isolation Valves and Flow Limiters
Service isolation valves are required where gas services operate at a pressure greater than 75mbar. They permit safe maintenance and allow the gas service to be speedily isolated in the event of pipeline damage. Flow limiters automatically restrict the flow of gas (and thereby reduce any gas release) when a pipeline is subjected to mechanical damage. The flow limiter automatically resets itself when the pipeline is repaired.
